Privacy policy

The short version: this is a static website. We do not run advertising trackers, we do not build profiles of readers, and we do not sell anything about you to anybody.
Who is responsible
Counter & Crumb is operated from Malta, in the European Union, and the operator is the data controller for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation. You can reach the controller at hello@multisourcer.com.
What we collect
When you simply read the site
Nothing that identifies you. We set no cookies of our own and run no analytics or advertising scripts. Our hosting provider processes standard server request logs, which include IP addresses, for the purposes of delivering the site and protecting it from abuse. That processing rests on our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning website.
When you email us
We receive your address and whatever you write. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else. We do not add correspondents to any mailing list. We keep correspondence only as long as it is useful for the matter it concerns.
Newsletter
We do not currently operate a newsletter and collect no addresses for one. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any signup form appears on the site.
Affiliate links and third-party cookies
Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you follow one, the destination retailer, such as Amazon, may set its own cookies in your browser in order to attribute a purchase to us. Those cookies are set by the retailer under the retailer's own privacy policy, not ours, and we receive no personal data about you as a result. We are told only that a qualifying purchase happened, never who made it.
You can block or clear third-party cookies in your browser settings. Doing so does not affect your ability to read anything here.
Who we share data with
Nobody, other than the service providers who make the site work: our hosting provider, and our email provider when you write to us. They act on our instructions. We do not sell personal data and we do not disclose it for advertising.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to ask us for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Write to hello@multisourcer.com and we will respond within one month.
If you believe we have handled your data badly, you are entitled to complain to a supervisory authority. In Malta this is the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner.
Children
This site is written for adults buying kitchen equipment and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of sixteen.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we will change this page and update the date at the top before the change takes effect.
